Well, i was supposed to depart Savannah on my way to Bangkok this morning. I along with 12 other schoolmates and two professors are embarking on a two week Off-Campus Trip to Thailand and Cambodia. The purpose of the trip is to experience hands on learning about the processes of globalization and the role of artisan production within the global marketplace. Unfortunately at this time, the airport in Bangkok is closed due to a large group of anti-government protestors occupying the main terminal. Read more about this here. A few phone calls to NWA later, I am now leaving on Dec 6th. Despite these unfortunate events, I am still very excited about the trip! I have never been to Asia before and i am really looking forward to new experiences! and food!
